VSP Ophrys has reached Naval Base in Toulon

After leaving Brest on September 1st, OPHRYS, the first of the new VSP class (Vedettes de Soutien à la Plongée) of the frenc Navy has sailed into Toulon Harbour in the early morning on September 9th. Ophrys has sailed on its own from Brest to Toulon through Gibraltar strait with no issue. She will now finis the testing before a delivery to the Groupe des Plongeurs Deminieurs scheduled in October 2022.
The programm will the continue with the 7 other vessels. the fabrication should start in October at Merre shipyard in Nort/Erdre and at CIB shipyard in Brest. The 7 others vessels will be delivered progressively until 2025.
