"Vevey" propulsion system delivery

01 April 2013

Merré shipyard delivered this week the propulsion system of "Vevey" passenger ship in Lausanne. This delivery constitutes an important step in the refit project of "Vevey" passenger ship, built in 1905, one of the flagship of CGN owner, which once again trusted Merré shipyard to take an important part in the modernization and upgrading of the "historical ship".

"Vevey" passenger ship, whose hull dates from the beginning of the 20th century, is currently under construction in Lausanne. As part of a complete refit of the ship, Merré shipyard was mandated to re-engineer the entire propulsion system, and to manufacture the new wheelhouse.

This project represents several thousand hours of work for Merré shipyard, in design, building, and management.
