Merré and Mecasoud build a 39 meters long hull
05 June 2016
Mecasoud works as a subcontractor for the Merré shipyard on the steel hull of a 39 meters bakchoe dredger.
This vessel was designed to work together with two split barges, also building Saint-Nazaire and shiped to Algeria. Fitted with three spuds to ensure her stabilization at sea, the pontoon embarks a hydraulic excavator able to work at 20 meters depth. The extracted materials are then stored on the split barges, which when loaded carries the dredging products to the cladding areas.
