Backhoe dredger SEEM 39-970ST « Benchicao » launching

39 m long, this backhoe dredger has been designed by the Merré shipyard and built with a steel hull and superstructure.
Fitted with three spuds to ensure her stabilization at sea, the pontoon embarks a hydraulic excavator able to work at 20 meters depth. The extracted materials are then stored on the split bargse, which when loaded carries the dredging products to the cladding areas.
Expected delivery in 2016, she was designed to work together with two split barges.
