20 January 2017 | © Mer et Marine

Mecasoud has proceeded to launch a 51 meters long for 9 meters wide hull of the split barge SEEM 51-970ST "Tidjelabine". Handling is carried out in the Penhoët basin, by means of the imposing quay of the Quai des Charbonniers, capable of lifting loads of 400 tons.

Carried out on behalf of Merré shipyard, Mecasoud's shareholder, this hull is the sistership of "Taghest", a split barge delivered in 2016 to Alger Port Authority. This vessel, which opens in the center, has pits to recover and clay sand, riprap or mud.

This new Algerian split baarge will now be completed afloat and will soon receive its superstructure.
